我看到這題的時候好像是有圖的？ (4-x 8-x是我自己加上去的) _____________8______________ | | x |__________________________| | | 8-x | 4| |4-x | | | | |__|_______________________| x 動作一：沿著某一邊，切下 8乘x --> 所以刀子切的方向一定平行長度8的那邊 ^^^^^^為什麼不說8-foot edge? 這就是出題者要考驗的數學閱讀能力 動作二：切下來的那塊的尺寸是 (4-x)乘x 但出題者不想講這麼直白 說沿著4-foot edge也不對，因為動作一之後只剩下 4-x 了 所以說沿著與 8-foot edge 垂直的邊去切，才是精確的說法 結論：數學識讀真的很重要 ※ 引述《brendenPTT (歐美)》之銘言： : The width and the length of a rectangular piece of plywood are 4 feet and 8 feet, respectively.
