The Cleveland Cavaliers wanted an even harsher penalty for Draymond Green.
The Cavaliers reportedly lobbied for the league office to suspend Green for mu
ltiple games after the Warriors forward struck LeBron James in the groin durin
g the fourth quarter of Game 4.
"The Cavs wanted him suspended for two games. I can tell you that. They wanted
it to be a flagrant 2 and to have him suspended for Game 5 and Game 6," ESPN'
s Zach Lowe said on his podcast, "The Lowe Post."

Green was assessed a flagrant-1 foul instead, forcing him to miss Monday night
's Game 5 defeat. The Warriors felt the loss of Green, as they allowed the duo
of James and Kyrie Irving to combine for 82 points.
The 26-year-old will make his return Thursday at Quicken Loans Arena.
