Is there any one who has thoroughly read the novel? I'm dying to share some of my viewpoints, first, the surrounding and the atmosphere in the story reminds me so much of the movie "Fallen" I can't quite express what that similarities are, would someone share me with his/ hers? Second, are they really enemies to each other? Because the way I see they are just a pair of couple inevitably manipulated by destiny to antagonize their counterpart? Why? "I say they could have been best pals........" For glory, revenge? or something much more sophisticated??? last, at the very end of the movie, Angier on the approaching of his death said "We so is for the sake of what The audience knows fact This world is too monotonous Too painful Too realistic;Always all so realistic So if you can make mirage Which afraid only a; Will make them feeling surprised Then; You will see; Very special thing You will not understand That BE; Their surprised facial expression" http://tw.knowledge.yahoo.com/question/question?qid=1007021106558 What exactly did Angier try to say? Was he trying to convince Borden that the essence of magic should focus on the nature of it instead how the magician perform it? or was he merely trying to persuade himself that to die like this may not after all be a bad idea? --
