It was the first set Grosjean had dropped in the tournament, and he soon found himself two breaks of serve down at 4-1 in the second. Lee, the 28-year-old Seoul resident seemed destined to reach his third career final, but Grosjean hit back to take the next five games. Although Lee saved a set point with an ace at 5-6, he could nothing to stop the Frenchman in the second tie-break, as Grosjean levelled the match by taking it 7-3.
