"I am very happy to become an FC Barcelona player. I have come to a big club that can achieve incredible things. Now a new adventure starts and I am looking forward to it." Why did you choose Barca? "Barca is one of the strongest teams in the world and that is why I chose to come. Apart from the city, the people, the players, the manager, everything together led to me to take this step." Have you spoken to Frank Rijkaard? "We spoke on the phone and he congratulated me on winning the World Cup. Then he rang me just before I signed for Barcelona. "That's right. But I have always followed the Spanish league and I think it is one of the nicest tournaments around. The outlook is good, but lets see how it all works out." "The holidays will do me good after such a difficult season. I had big problems with what happened to Juve and then there was the happiness of winning the World Cup.
