Jose Mourinho was furious with Asier Del Horno's red card against Barcelona, but was proud of the performance his ten men put in against the Spanish champions. The Spanish left back was bizarrely dismissed after a clash with Lionel Messi, and the hosts had to play for nearly an hour with a man less. The Blues still managed to take the lead thanks to a Thiago Motta own goal, but a John terry own goal and Samuek Eto'o header gave Barca a 2-1 victory after the first leg. Mourinho was not happy with Messi's reaction to the clash with Del Horno, and says he helped in getting the Chelsea man sent off. "The kid (Messi) is not just a very good football player, he jumps, he provokes the contact with Del Horno and because of that the referee gives a red card," Mourinho told Sky Sports. "He rolls and rolls and rolls, it wasn't a red card, of course not. And for the second time we've had to play against them for 55, 60 minutes with ten men. "I don't think we should talk about it as a game, because after that the game was not a game. "It was a pure game until that moment, it was 11 against 11, two good teams tactically thinking a lot about the game, not many mistakes, not many chances but an open game. "There is no point talking about the game after that." Mourinho has said in the build up to the game that he thought Barca players had a tendency to overreact after being tackled. He thought that Messi had done just this, but was keener to pay tribute to his troops after their ten-man display.
