After not throwing for a few days, Lidge came in to get some work on Friday and allowed the first 3 base-runners to reach and score, ultimately on a 3 run HR by Casey Kotchman. He then settled down to strike out 2 of the final 3 batters he faced and close out the game. Lidge has struggled early on with his BB Rate and an increasing FB Rate, but he's also been impacted by some horrible luck on Fly Balls with a HR/FB Rate approaching 35%. At this point I'm willing to write off the increased HR Rate to the poor luck on Fly Balls and the increased BB Rate to Lidge trying to get his knee right, but the overall rise in FB旧 allowed is a concern as are the BB for Lidge's success going forward.
