- What is Toastmasters International? Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization dedicated to communication and leadership training. In 1924, Dr. Ralph Smedly founded this organization in California to help people learn the arts of speaking, listening and thinking --- vital skills that promote self-actualization and enhance leadership potential, foster human understanding, and contribute to the betterment of mankind. Since then, more than 10,000 clubs have been chartered and more than 3,000,000 members have benefited from Toastmaster International. - Toastmasters in Taiwan In Taiwan, the first Toastmasters club (Taipei Toastmasters Club) was chartered in 1958. Currently, there are more than 145 clubs island-wide. The majority of the clubs are English clubs, with a few Taiwanese, Japanese, Mandarin, and one Hakka Club. Our members come from all walks of life. We have a diversified membership of many different nationalities.We, World Mosaic Toastmasters Club, are open to all and we help members to gain personal growth through the training of communication and leadership skills in a positive environment. - What Toastmasters can do for you?
