Today's (or I guess yesterday's) match started at 10AM EST, I actually woke up extra early for work so I can get to my office early and watch the entire game. (It's one of those slow day.) They tied for 0:0 at half time, and both teams seemed to be confident that they'd be the first to score in the second half and end the match. However after several aggressive attempts, neither side were able to score. They stayed tied until final whistle, and gone into overtime. During the overtime I was so excited I knocked over my coffee cup, and then a customer called, on the phone I bet I sounded like I needed to use the bathroom ASAP or something XD They tied again after overtime, and had to settle with PK! So dramatic! Everyone on my MSN, Plurk, and Facebook were cheering for Japan after every shot. Eventho I was sitting all alone in my office, I felt like I was watching the game with all of my friends in Taiwan. Unfortunately, Japan lost the PK because one of them missed. (Which really isn't all his fault, PK is heavily dependent on luck...) I honestly have never felt this excited (and suddently depressed) before. I was so depressed in the afternoon I couldn't eat anything... But after giving it a bit more thought, if Japan had won the PK and advance into Best 8, next they will probably face Spain... ......Umm... ...It entirely possible that the match between Spain and Japan will be a one sided match - on Spain's side of course. So perhaps losing gloriously like this is a good way to end... But still, I wish they win and advance.... :( Good job today Japan, you all should be proud of yourselves, including you, the guy who missed the PK shot XD Don't be too hard on yourself. -- People are capable of kindness beyond angels, yet we also commit sins that would put a demon to shame... --
