This is the first time I write here, there are maybe have some mistakes of grammar or sentence problems, please forgive me, because my English is poor. I am feeling confuse now about the plan after I graduate. I have a plan to study aboard after i graduate. Anybody studies in US knows that if you want to apply for master in us, you need to prepare two tests toefl and gre, and ETS have announced that the gre test will change the version next year on August, and it will become more difficulty.When I heard this news in that moment, there is an idea appears in my head, I am 4th in my university now. If I don’t have a good grade before I attend to the military service, I will never have a chance to have a gre test in old version because it has changed the version already. I talked this to my parent today and talked them if it’s possible, I wantto delay 1 semester for graduate. Of course they condemn me after I talked to them. And it frustrated me very much, all they thought was that I want to shirk the est and military service but it’s not a truth. I just want to get a good grade and it can let me have more advantage to apply for the school, I think my parent don’t understand me really, the first sentence they have said is that, you have to study harder, it’s not enough blabla, that is only they can said, except this they didn’t know anything about my plan like the test of gre and toefl, the school in us, all they image is that finish your college, finish the military then go study aboard, that’s my image too,it sounds great but also sounds impractical. So I don’t know what I can do now, is there someone can give me some advises for that? I will appreciate you, thank you for read this long complaining.
