I has had read the English books about Buddhism for at least three months, still remember the first one called: The Sword of Wisdom. And I am not yet finish the second one, Complete Enlihgtenment. Both of the books were wrote by Master Sheng-yen. I aware that if am want to deeply realize the meaning of Buddha-dharma, I may try to write something about it, this method obviously will helps me remember some points from the books. Need to say that the pen and the paper were great tools for study before, and nowadays, the computer is much more better. For study Buddha-dharma, it is better know some key words first, for instance, Mahayana and Hinayana, in Buddhism, both of them has been called Two Vehicles. In the modern society, when mentioned about Vehicles, people probably associate with car, train, motorcycle, helicopter, airplane and ship. But, in fact, the Mahayana and Hinayana are not that kind of conveyance. It seems far from easy for me to explain what on earth there are exactly, maybe I could say that Hinayana and Mahayana are two different paths that peoples could run across them to the Pure Land, the Buddha's realm. Reading here, you could apparently know the two paths Hinayana and Mahayana are not real roads that the naked eye can see. I don't think the knowledge of mine are good enought to explain the two terms that everyone could truly understand them, so, at the end, I should use some few Chinese charactars for help. In Chinese, the term Hinayana is called 小乘佛法 and Mahayana 大乘佛法. But what is different between both? Maybe I will try to explain them soon. -- 必有一得。 --
