Well, I think I've received a Chinese version of this email a long time ago... Now they have it in English, so I thought I'd share it with you guys... Some of the tips might be quite useful... How Many of These Do You Know About? A sealed envelop - Put in the freezer for a few hours, then slide a knife under the flap. The envelop can then be resealed... Crayons marks on walls? Use a damp rag, dipped in baking soda. Comes off with little effort. Permanent marker on appliances or counter tops, rubbing alcohol on paper towel (I guess it means to wipe your appliances/counter tops using the alcohol-soaked towel?) Use vertical strokes when washing windows outside and horizontal for inside windows. This way you can tell which side has the streaks. Straight vinegar will get outside windows really clean. Don't wash windows on a sunny day. They will dry too quickly and will probably streak. Candles will last a lot longer if placed in the freezer for at least three hours prior to burning. To clean artificial flowers, pour some salt into a paper bag and add the flowers. Shake vigorously as the salt will absorb all the dust and dirt and leave your artificial flowers looking like new! Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut in half, and rub it on your forehead. The throbbing will go away. Ants, ants, ants everywhere... Well,they are said to never cross a chalk line. So get your chalk out and draw a line on the floor, or wherever ants tend to march. See for yourself. When you get a splinter, reach for the scotch tape before resorting to tweezers or a needle. Simply put the scotch tape over the splinter, and then pull it off. Scotch tape removes most splinters painlessly and easily. Now look what you can do with Alka Seltzer, clean porcelain surfaces. (Alka Seltzer's the medicine used for stomach problems)... Put what you need to clean in a glass of water, then drop two tablets of Alka Seltzer into the glass. Wait a few minutes, and clean/brush it. This works well for thermos bottles too. Fill the bottle with water first, drop 2-4 tablets of Alka Seltzer in it, soak for an hour, and clean it. Works for clogged drains too. To unclog a drain, drop three Alka Seltzer tablets down the drain, followed by a cup of white vinegar. Wait a few minutes, and then run the hot water. -- --
