I've also started reading Jodi Picoult, wondering why she has to write all those sad stories about life. Life isn't always sad, isn't it? Life can be happy too, right? You were the one who told me to smile more, because you said I look cute when I'm not frowning. You were the one who asked me to forgive my parents for leaving me behind when they went away. You were the one who showed me how to enjoy a spicy dish even after tears choke me up, who made me understand there is more to life than just work, who taught me how to find happiness by giving it to others less fortunate. You were the one who believed in me, and I believed in you. You were the one who told me if one day you should fall asleep and forget to wake up, I should only ask you to open your eyes when it's Valentine's Day, because it's your favourite day of the year, because you love to see happy couples walking down the street holding hands, kissing, looking each other in the eyes and seeing a common future, because you said I should propose to you on Valentine's Day, because you asked if we could keep a dog after we move in together.
