This PO is kind of like Mythbuster on American culture. Please feel free to leave your feedbacks! 1. Many Americans are very open about their sexuality. BUSTED! Although I have to admit that many Americans do experience sexual relationship quite early comparing to TW people but it does not mean that they are comfortable to talk about their sex history and make comments about sex. Be honest, there are many shy Americans like to avoid those topics since they think that sexual relationship and experience should be very private… very exclusive. Guys might joke about sex to each other (very alike TW boys) but they usually speak in respectful way when there is a female present. For girls, they usually do not like to talk about anything related to sex in front of guys since they wanna see as “easy”, “slut”, “whore”, or “BC (booty-call)”. 2. American Dreams are real! Plausible. It depends on many factors. Luck, hard work, morale, personality, abilities… etc. You might hear many stories on how foreigners immigrated to US and successes, however they never talk about how hard they work and how much pain that they have to gone through. Many people only see the results but never get to see how they start it. 3. Americans eat McDonalds and TGI all the time. BUSTED! In US… well, in big city, you usually have many options on meals. From Japanese, Thai, Chinese, to Italian, and French cuisine. Americans do have a lot of choices on their dining options. However, many TW people do reflect that the Chinese food there tend to be really salty or heavy taste. Well, most of US people do prefer heavier taste... and you are in US. 4. Asian cultures are getting bigger and bigger in US. CONFIRMED! It is funny that back in 8 years ago, many US people only knows Jacky Chan, Jet Li, and Bruce Lee. Now, more and more Americans are accepting Asian culture and even trying to learn the language. Regardless William Hung, yoga, sushi, I do see this is a good change, although more and more US boys wanna date Asian girls…. Haha, not so good for me. 5. USA is the best country in the world! Plausible…or BUSTED. Patriotic brings US together more and also makes US the most hated country in the world. I have to admit that I hate Americans making comment like “That is not how we do thing around here” or “put a boot in your ass” attitude. I do think that Americans should learn how to respect other countries more and understand that they will not be on the top ALWAYS. Last, my favorite quote "It takes respect to earn respect" --
