Go ahead. : I am not turning people's dream of going aboard. : I just complain about my life. : Still crying about the choice my parent made for me. Well, I must say I really envy you two. I also hope I can go abroad to study, but my economic situation would not allow me to achieve me dream. Such different lives we lead! My mother can't work because of her chronic disease and my father is getting older and weak, also, it's almost the time for his retirement. We don't have much money in the bank right now. My sister and I've got to work and support the family. I don't get it how can I imagine to achieve my dream in this lifetime when I have to work and support my family finance. I've been so ridiculous...I always tease myself and sometimes weep for this dream. My favorite subject is English literature and I always wanted to enhance my study of it... in U.K. No matter how passionate i am toward the literature, it's out of the question...to fulfil this dream. When I think of the study of literature dream, all I can do is to read some poems or be drowned in my own reverie. I am serious about the study of English literature, I am not daydreaming or joking. I MEAN it. I am not just yearning for some stupid and unpractical experiences abroad. As to the problems you mentioned about homesickness or segregation, I think that's inevitable. If I were in a foreign country, I don't think I'll be that frustrated. Because i am rather proud of being an Asian. An unique Asian. Prejudices and discriminations exist in every country and so what? Whatever others say and think, just be true to yourself. Time can prove everything and heal everything. So I say, different destinies... Forget it... I just.. read your articles and there are some emotions rising in me. Sorry for being so straightfoward but i don't mean to be rude... just few words. --
