標題[Ask ] which test is suitable for me?

hi there,
Recently I've been thinking about English capability tests in our country.
Once I didn't appreciate to take that sort of tests to prove my
English capability after graduating from university. Becuase I didn't think
that consquence would provide me any benifit at all. I didn't take it for
granted that it can be one of my abilities while applying jobs.
In a word, I am so confident of myself.
Somehow, I tried to take some tests just for testing my English proficiency.
Soon, I found i was so wrong.
Most people still believed that piece of certification.
Finally, i still own this powerful weapon- a paper certification
to document my advantage.
Therefore, I chose GEPT high-intermediate level as a start.
It's a piece of cake for me to pass the 1st stage- reading and listening.
I almost gained full marks. I didn't boast of my English proficiency. :)
However, I understood I didn't keep training the other 2 abilities- writing &
speaking. Eventually, I failed at the 2nd stage....shameful~
I didn't be beated. I took more shots!
Consquently, I always failed at the 2nd stage.
Okay...i admit speaking is my crucial weakness.
Yet,I won't give up anyway.
well, the above is my explanation of my changing condition.
Now I owned a intermediate certification but was unsatisfied with it.
I know I am superior to that level, though no evidence is gonna be proved.
My concern is to take other exam/test to gain "powerful" proof, such as TOEIC.
There are lots of English proficiency tests in Taiwan.
It is very difficult to identify which one is better and influential.
GEPT is not that international, thought it's accapted by many domestic
companies now.
I would like to take the much more "international" English proficiency test.
Today, another test appeared named "Cambridge examination test."
Both of Toeic and Cambridge test are quite expensive enough to aviod people
taking without full preparation.
I used to chose one to testify my ability without making any effors in advance.
That's how I am able to measure my advantage and disadvantage truly.
ohoh~ quite a long story.
Just hope member here will offer ideas about it or any sugesstion and comment
will be welcome as well.
thanks,
m

1F:推 delf:What ever so, if you'd like to stay here in Taiwan 04/12 17:58
2F:→ delf:better qualified with proficiency certification. 04/12 17:59
3F:→ delf:Toeic is not a certificate that can be used for applying 04/12 18:00
4F:→ delf:in almost every cases. It remains however a retrospetive 04/12 18:00
5F:→ delf:evaluation on your competence. If you'd like to prove 04/12 18:01
6F:→ delf:why not prepare well to pass an examination at a higher 04/12 18:01
7F:→ delf:level such as GEPT advanced level which will take place 04/12 18:02
8F:→ delf:this year ? And I have to say the final opinion as below 04/12 18:03
9F:→ delf:I appreciate your confidence in self, but if you'd like 04/12 18:03
10F:→ delf:to take the criteria well described in the CEFR for 04/12 18:04
11F:→ delf:reference, you are likely to realise that being qualified 04/12 18:05
12F:→ delf:with an high-intermediate level is not as potent as you 04/12 18:05
13F:→ delf:thought, worse that GEPT at this level is set to a lower 04/12 18:06
14F:→ delf:point that is not as more as what the B2 level required 04/12 18:06
15F:→ delf:according to the Europe Council's document ! 04/12 18:07
16F:→ delf:Best regards 04/12 18:08
17F:→ mei104:thanks for your sharing and suggestion :) 04/15 15:43
