Since you specifically mentioned pronunciation and intonation, I have a tangible, bottom-up suggestion to give. It does set you back a couple dollars, but shouldn't hurt you too much financially. What I'm suggesting is a book titled Clear Speech: Pronunciation and Listening Comprehension in North American English. [http://tinyurl.com/ztasa] Pay no attention to me if you're seeking accent other than American, i.e. English, Australian. If you grew up Taiwan and went through the English education in Taiwan, there is a good chance you're not getting everything right when it comes to English pronunciation. And as the book title suggests, pronunciation and listening comprehension go hand in hand. If you don't say it right, you don't listen right. Why? Because when you listen, you seek spoken words that match your own pronunciation, the way you think they are supposed to be spoken. And misinterpretation grows from the discrepancy between the two. Back to the book, it covers 1. vowels (some very important vowel rules) and word stress (stressing the right syllables/words makes you sound native.) 2. sentence focus, how to emphasize and de-emphasize words and choose the focus word. 3. Consonants, how to link words and some voicing rules. The book comes with a CD, so you'll have something to follow if you can't find someone capable to walk you through it. The reason I mentioned finding someone to help you with it is that the book was used as a text in an adult school class I attended after work when I worked in the States. I was surprised that there were quite a few things I didn't know before even though my verbal command of English floated me smoothly at work. And I could almost swear that I even listen better after the class. Anyway, I figure this is one good way to solve your problem at hand.
