Always Somewhere http://blog.xuite.net/tooodark/musicstation/8404948 Ladies and gentlemen, today I want to share with you one of my favorite songs, “Always Somewhere,” the classic by “Scorpions.” “Scorpions” is a famous rock band from German. With wide ambition to be standing on the stage of the world, “Scorpions” wrote all songs in English, not in German. The classic “Always Somewhere” was collected in the album “Lovedrive” released in 1979. In the whole song, the melody for the most part proceeded with two guitars; one guitar played alternative picking, and the other one played interlude sentences. The lyrics, however, were talking about a drifter singer’s passion and commitment to his lover. Though the singer was always on the drift from one place to another, he just promised that someday they would be together in the end. For the first time I heard the song when I was a senior high school student, about ten years ago, I was deeply attracted by the dramatic melody and the elegant lyrics. After learning guitar for many years, I tried to play the song by my self— even though a whole band including the vocal, drummer, bass player, and guitarist originally played it. Right now, it’s my honor to present you with the song, “Always Somewhere.” Here we go!
