I believe you can improve your English. The most effective way is to know and befriend native speakers. If you can not befriend any of them, I suggest you talking to native professors more frequently. Don't feel embarrassed to talk to your teachers. When I was of your age, I was too shy to talk in English. (I am also an English major) Thus, a few years later, I feel that I make a little progress in speaking. Actually, my writing and reading comprehension improve a lot after graduation. However, when I speak or talking in English, I have difficulties to express correctly and properly. Even though I still can communicate with native speakers, my English speaking is not as natural as theirs. I did feel that, Maybe you will encounter the same difficulty as I. I strongly suggest that you should know some foreigners. I think Taiwan cannot offer such environment for English learners. Another way is to get a part-time job in all-English cram school. There, you can know some native speaker teachers, but some teachers are not from the developed western countries. If that is the case, you have to be more aware of their ascent and pronounciation. All are my personal experience. Now I have more opportunities to know native speakers. They are from the western countries like the US and Canada. I feel my speaking is unnatural..... (weeping...)
