From my point of view, you of course need to improve your English skill, but I'd say your English is not too bad. At least you can express your ideas clearly although there are still some minor grammer or usage mistakes. Sometimes Office Politics is much more tiring than the job, maybe your colleagues' statement is nothing more than a kind of hostile stuffs to new comers. My suggestion is that you can try the upmost to show your efforts, progress, hard-working, and willingness to overcome the trouble which made you in the hot water if you have to do it due to whatever reasons. If you escaped and lost this battle easily, I believe the tragedy will happen more than once again. Ask yourself. Have you already done your best?
