You are an investor interested in investing in a company. How do u determine which company to invest in? You read companys' financial statements. What are financial statements? They are statements that suppose to reflect a company's "true & fair view" of their financial position. All right, back to human world. You are looking for love (partner, relationship whateva). How do u determine who to look for? ?_? May I say, most of us, read other ppl just like FS. Let me ask you again. How do you judge a company? By looking at their financial statements? -WRONG- FS are just a starting point & guideline. It can be manipulated - look at the big corporate collapses such as Enron & Worldcom & various others. They were the top recommendations by analysts - so what? Their FS looked superb - so what? So how do you judge a person? By looking at those conditions that I've listed? Do they really tell you something? Do they really give you an inside depth of who ppl really are? ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This is inspired by some chat & reading of various o2 postings ----------------------------------------------------------------------- XD Please don't ask me how to analyse a company. The more I studied, the more I am confused. It seems we can never beat the market (except for some very intelligent/lucky ppl??) Since we cannot solely rely on FS, some ppl have suggested alternative ways (including the popular topic of triple bottomline reporting etc.). But there's still no absolute answers.
