There are many negative emotions that people experience all the time. I remember a recent conversation with a friend of mine, we were discussing the emotions that people experience, and I commented on how it's strange that the negative emotions are always much stronger and more memorable than the positive ones. It's not a very good thing, I guess, as while everyone knows what it means to be happy, most people (including myself I have to admit) don't appreciate what they have, and the happiness that they experience as much as they should. In other words, too often, it is simply taken for granted: the things that we have in life, the people that love us, and our fortunes. Almost always, it's when you don't have something anymore, or when something turns out short of your expectations that you start to appreciate what you had before. For me, even though I can't help it sometimes, I try to remember to appreciate what I have as much as I could, but even then, I still get very disappointed when things don't turn out the way I planned, or expected. Disappointment is a strange emotion. Sometimes I think it's harder to deal with than some of the other emotions, such as anger. If you are angry, (hopefully) you have a reason to be, and if you can find out what it is that makes you angry, and either try and solve the problem (or yell at the person that made you angry haha), then maybe, just maybe, you'll feel better. However, if you are disappointed that something didn't turn out the way you wanted more often than not, there is no one to blame. Because even though things did not turn out right, it's no one's fault, or that you can't reasonably blame it on the cause of the emotion. I think it's especially hard, when one minute you're feeling so happy, and the next so disappointed at a news. And you sort of have to pretend that it's OK, as like I said, you just can't reasonably attribute fault. But still, you are disappointed...... :( --
