The main reason why I think British accent is more elegant, is that normally British people speak much more slower than Americans. When you speak slowly, you tend to be clearer. I think elegant people never rush when they talk. Moreover, British people are more likely to emphasize on certain important points they try to explain in a sentence. Again, these are just my personal opinions. I think everyone must be happy to have the chance to express freely, and at the same time practice our English writing skill, right?
