標題[問題] 請教PLL DLL

在paper上看到一段話
"short-term jitter or white noise on the system clock appears unfiltered at
the output of the DLL,whereas a PLL inherently performs low-pass filtering
of noise of the reference input。。。For our application,shoer-term jitter
is more than tracking jitter。。 "
接下來又提到一些文字
而我的問題是..所謂的"short-term jitter"跟"white noise"在這裡要怎麼解釋
它是DLL的優點嗎？
是的話..那為什麼最後這篇paper是採用PLL來實現VCO而非DLL呢？
接著 問題之二
DLL的原理是什麼..可不可以請板上先進大概描述一下..謝謝
