坦白說, 基本工資要調漲.要靠政府嗎? 工會運動的重要性,在美國也是相當地必要. 絕大部分的人也是支持工會運動. 因為那是遏止資本家cross the line 的唯一手段. 就只有罷工,遊行,示威,制造動亂,才能達到效果. 與其全部的利潤都被資本家一手拿走,不如一拍兩散. 誰也都不要拿.這時候政府再介入調節,也才有理由. 如果一開始連罷工示威都不願意,只想靠政府? 算了吧,經濟學家分析半天也沒有用.只想吃免費的午餐,天下又哪有這麼好的事? 下面的例子是最近幾天,我在路上碰到的. 人家拿最低工資的人,奮力爭取自己的 收入,舊金山是目前美國最高基本工資的地方,大約十美金一小時,而且幾乎是 年年調漲,經濟也是好的不得了.最低工資在許多人的眼裏,連吃一頓飯的三分之一 都不到. http://www.examiner.com/article/sf-janitors-union-leaders-call-for-a-strike Leaders of a San Francisco janitors’ union, Service Employees International Union Local 87, called for the union's members to strike if the union does not reach a tentative agreement on a new contract with the City by this coming Wednesday, August 2. The union has been involved in contract negotiations with the City, Macy’s and the Westfield shopping mall management since August of 2010. “The companies, they are not negotiating in good faith. They are walking in and out. They think they are going to get away with it but we know; we did a lot of research, especially for the economy in San Francisco. San Francisco, it has a good economy,” he said. “There is a lot of money there. The vacancy (rate) in the City is less than eight percent … for the commercial buildings. We know there is a lot of money.
