I am also acquainted with the RFU president, Sergey Fursenko, with whom at one time we gained a great understanding,” he said. Advocaat is one of the most successful foreign coaches to have worked in Russia. During his rule in Zenit Saint Petersburg, the club claimed the home league title, the UEFA Cup and UEFA Super Cup. “Negotiations with the RFU are still continuing and the final decision is not yet made.
