LJUBLJANA, Sept 29 (Reuters) Slovenia will play their final Euro 2004 qualifier in Cyprus next week without injured midfielder Zlatko Zahovic after he was left out of the 20-man squad named on Monday. Slovenia have already secured second place behind France in qualifying Group One and a spot in the playoffs so the absence of their top player will not be much of a concern to coach Bojan Prasnikar. Zahovic, who fractured a toe on his left foot while playing for his club Benfica against Porto last week and could be out for up to six weeks, was replaced in the squad by uncapped 27-year-old striker Marko Vogric of Ajdovscina. Vogric is the leading scorer in the Slovenian first division this season with 10 goals in 10 matches. Midfielder Amir Karic is also in Prasnikar's squad but cannot play against Cyprus as he is suspended. 'Karic will join the squad's preparation but ... he will not travel to Cyprus,' the Slovenian FA said in a statement. Defender Spasoje Bulajic of FSV Mainz 05 is back in the squad, but his fellow defender at the club, Rajko Tavcar, has been left out.
