We are looking for a student/associate who is interested in joining the expedition. Our goal is to search for evidence of ancient organic carbon once buried under the Laurentide ice sheet, and to understand the fate of the high latitude organic carbon under global warming and during the ice ages. The tasks include collecting samples and possibly analyzing them afterwards. The expenses will be covered by a private fundation. The expedition is expected to be from late June to early August. It's not guaranteed to happen yet, and you will work with us on different aspects. A highly motivated person with field/lab experiences is preferred. Please let me know immediately if interested.
