可以把握這個機會! 我可以幫忙寫介紹信.

Young Student Support Program at 2008 Design Automation Conference
New Application Deadline: May 2nd, 2008
http://vlsi.ws.binghamton.edu/~studprog08/
The 45th Design Automation Conference is sponsoring a Professional
Development Program to encourage advanced undergraduate students (Junior or
Senior levels) and first-year graduate students (beginning first year, or
finishing first and beginning second year) to join the electronic design
automation profession or pursue graduate studies in this field. This program
will introduce students to DAC and the design automation profession through
meetings, tours, and by association with a mentor who is an advanced graduate
student already working in the area.
Student Award
DAC will pay the student registration fee, a banquet ticket, and
$100 for students applying from Southern California
$300 for students applying from Northern
California/Oregon/Washington/Nevada/Arizona
$500 for students applying from overseas or other US states for partial
coverage of the travel expenses for the students.
The awardees are required to attend an organizational meeting in Anaheim, CA
and submit a one-page report describing their experience at DAC. The location
and timing of the organizational meeting will be announced later.
Mentor
To organize this effort, we also need student mentors. Student mentors are
advanced graduate students who are already working in the DA field and
volunteer to bring in qualified students from their university or college and
act as tour guides for these students at DAC. The student mentors will
receive the same award as the student awardees.
How to Apply
Candidate students must be recommended by a professor in the DA profession.
The professor must provide a reference letter for the student stating that
he/she is enrolled in a major suitable for DA profession, is considering
working in the DA profession, or will benefit professionally by attending DAC.
The professor should also commit to help the student make arrangements for
transportation and lodging at the conference site. The student should in turn
provide a brief (2 pages maximum) biography and a short statement outlining
his or her goals and objectives. Please include the postal address and a
day-time phone number as well. If you are qualified and interested in taking
advantage of this opportunity to attend DAC, please send the required
documents to Parth Malani via email (mail to:
[email protected] ) by
Friday, May 2nd, 2008.
