I don't really see how the Dodgers can compete in the Lee sweepstakes this winter simply because Lee is going to command over $100MM. Unless the payroll is going to simply increase I don't see how Lee fits into the 2011 plans. SI's Jon Heyman also throws the Dodgers into the mix of interested teams, which currently sits somewhere in the neighborhood of eight teams that includes the Rangers, Yankees, Red Sox, Cubs, Phillies, Angels, and the eight team would be the Nationals, as I am sure they have checked in as well. The Yankees and Rangers are the obvious favorites and I don't see how the Dodgers can compete, but hey you never know. Cliff Lee is the prized pitching free agent this winter and there will be no shortage of suitors or lack of money thrown his way.
