MUNUA THE FIRST SIGNING OF DEPORTIVO Finally, after many rumours, Deportivo have signed a new player. In fact, it’s a goalkeeper and his name is Gustavo Munua (25). The name of the Uruguayan ex-goalkeeper of Nacional de Montevideo had been going around for some months although nothing had been confirmed until yesterday. Munua already has been in La Coruna since Thursday staying in the house of Deportivo/Uruguay striker Abreu. Yesterday he had a medical check-up and signed a 6-year contract until 2009. (果然是個門將...) After Deportivo let go Dani Mallo to Elche (on loan), it was a demand of Irureta to have another goalkeeper added to the squad. As both Molina and Juanmi already are past the age of thirty, the arrival of 25-year old Munua will bring some balance in the goalkeepers squad. (居然嫌Molina&Juanmi老?拜託門將就是要有點年紀才有經驗啊!就跟陳年老酒一樣 越陳越香啊!) Munua himself commented about his transfer: “It’s a dream coming through singing for Deportivo, because it’s great to be playing Europe and the club has a great reputation all around the world. I know that Deportivo already have some great goalkeepers, but the most important thing will be to work hard. And when I get a chance I must use it”. His agent, Lucho Malvarez, assured that the goalkeeper (1,90 m tall) “within six months will be one of the best in Europe. He has a great personality and he’s a leader who can organize a team. He’s always very concentrated and good in one against one situations, and he knows how to handle the ball”. Munua has already played 70 international matches for Uruguay. (經紀人...^^||b 不過新門將經驗也挺豐富的) The signing of Munua means that Juanmi could still end up at Murcia. The goalkeeper has been related for a while with the club from his region of birth, and his agent Jose Maria Peton admitted that “there’s a new possibility now that Juanmi goes to Murcia”. Newly promoted Murcia are looking for another goalkeeper because at the moment they only count on Sanchez Broto. (NO~~~~!!!
