That is an easy question.
You can just tell them that somebody in Taiwan still stupidly recognised
something possible in KMT's good days could still be copied.
Indeed, to copy 'success' is very difficult but you can always learn
from others' mistakes. In such political environment, you believe that
would be the latest case, even though that was also the first example.
Then, you can fire back a question, such as, is it possible in China?
the president's son get arrested? not for political reason but other
good ones.
If the guy says yes, then fire another question 'Show me the evidence.'
I think these are good enough to shut them up.
Being honest, the president's family being arrested is not too bad.
At least, I am convinced that this country's justice system and media
are working, despite not perfectly.
