Just believe me, oil is really important, unless you are going to be a people living in 15th century or earlier. Similar, there were salt, iron, coffee and food, etc; all are very important. I am not going to say who is correct. However, for a general people in 2006, there is no excuse not knowing the importance and affects of energy. The oil price directly link to so many things relating to daily life... If you are not going to complain things like electricity bill price increases 100% or whatever, you can forget my words. Also, in a democratic state, you cannot differ from the manner of the president and the people, because that is your choice, or major choice, of who got to be the president. Being a president, the guy got to try to satisfy the majority of the people. There were some best balance points between oil and living standard and they got to find them out. Additionally, when you say the president got to care of the interests of the nation. However, what is the interests of the nation? Doesn't this also include your share? (In fact, you are enjoying it when you watching BBC... That is a lot of energy.) To watch TV and complain are usually much easier than to do it. I am not saying do not watch TV nor do not complain... I just suggest, keep thinking. --
