Lex Luthor, the axis of evil, Summoned his dark forces To infuse the sublunar terrain With horrendous hues of doom. Hatched was a scheme of Genocidal demolition so rapacious. Afar rose the unsettling percussions Of battle drums above the horizon; Dolphins rendered an ensemble Of such an apocalyptic requiem That Stonehenge even shuddered At the prewar snafus. A chaste cavalier so magnificent, With a crimson, swishing cape, Clark rode the wind as Poseidon, Who wielded a troop of charging waves. Leaving light dragging behind, He came to rescue the world feeble, Like Aragorn's war-savvy sword Redeeming Middle-earth From Sauron's iron claws. Bang! Bang! Bang! Lights fainted as Clouds melted and winds shattered. The Fire with flames of salvation Gored the Ice of ultimate demolition so hard. Bang! Bang! Bang! Crumbled was the Fortress of Solitude For the wicked man with his minions, Conjured the deadly black art, Exorcising demons of kryptonite– Leeched was Clark's Achilles's heel. IV. The grand resurrection To silence and stab The heart of hellish racket, The man of steel–enshrouded In an endlessly haunting incubus– Hovered over the zenith of sheer darkness. An eternal nightmare or Just a light-hearted drama? Father! Father! Father! Why do you forsake me? Can you feel me? Stumbling through the valley of Death, He heard nothing but The Banshee's seductive ballad Worshiping the glory of hatred– Accompanied by a brush of Thick purple haze–a satanic maze? The unselfish dedication to mankind Warmed his fragile heart, like the Sun Whispering hymns of blessings Upon Nature's most sensitive ears. Succumb to the lure of demon not. A dawn of victory shall rekindle The Promethean torch once dimmed– Fluttering and rising was The eagle of unmatched courage– The world rejoinced, quivoring. V. A brave new world Gone and missing as he is again, He shall be alone But not lonely–of course. The "S"–Super?
