He often used to remark that "like the scholars of old times, one
should have no reason to regret the death of a patriot"---a saying
attributed to the mother of a great scholar who was killed in a
struggle with a powerful eunuch faction toward the end of the Later
Han dynasty.
這段文字大意是說，東漢時宦官與外戚爭奪，有一個很有名的文人遭殺害。
這位文人的母親說了一句話，大意是「愛國志士死不足惜，古今皆然」。
