看到一題有關於
eigenfunction和
Dirac delta functions的題目
想了很久還是想不出來
The eigenfunctions of coordinate operators are Dirac delta funcions,
defined such taht δ(x-a)→∞ if x=a and δ(x-a)→0 if x≠a, and such that

∫ δ(x-a)dx=1, (b<a<c)
b
a. Show that δ(x-a) is an eigenfunction of x.
b. What is the eigenvalue of δ(x-a) ?
其中 b.的答案是 a
不知道該如何解起
希望板上各位能夠提點我一些解題的想法

∫ xδ(x-a)dx = a,所以 xδ(x-a) = aδ(x-a) 這樣對嗎?@@
