(a)Calculate the number of different ways of arranging 10 solute molecules.
Each solute molecule occupies one lattice position.
(b)Calculate the number of different ways of arranging an oligomer
consisting of 10 repeating units in a lattice of 100 positions.
(c)What are the main differences in terms of thermodynamic state functions
between binary mixtures based on low molecular weight species
and the low and high molecular weight species.Please be quantitative.

Natural rubber with density p=0.90gm/cc ,
Mn(bar)=75000 amd Mc=6000 is to be stretched from 10 cm to 15 cm.
What is the force per unit area required?
If a single chain of this rubber is subject to a tensile force of
10^-5 dyne in the z-direction, what will be the average end-to-end
distance in the x,y,and z directions?
3.
Consider the consequences of heating a stressed versus an unstressed elastomer.
