Michael Golding (pictured) who captained the side scored a brace as the young central midfielder delivered a fantastic performance to help the young Three Lions to victory. Golding has been involved in a few competitions this season and has also been named once on the bench for Chelsea Under-21 side. https://i.imgur.com/MPpnXOv.jpg Michael Golding captained the England team today Other players who were involved in this afternoon's fixture were Ted Curd who started in goal, Josh Acheampong and Kiano Dyer. Today's game was the first of three qualification matches for England during the next week. The win over Lithuania will be followed by a game with hosts Georgia on Friday in GFF Rustavi Academy (3pm UK time), before the round concludes on Monday 31 October against Israel back at the Tbilisi Sea Technical Center Stadium (2pm UK time). --------------------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/ internationals-young-lions-march-into-next-round Internationals: Young Lions march into next round 28 OCT 22 There were several Chelsea Academy players involved in an emphatic victory for England Under-17s over Georgia, which saw the team progress into the elite round of Euros qualifying. https://i.imgur.com/53kKB6M.jpg The Young Lions beat Georgia earlier this afternoon with a comfortable 6-2 win in their second match of the group stage in qualifying for the 2023 European Under-17 Championship. This victory means that they make it through to the elite round of qualifying with a game to spare. Ted Curd was the only Chelsea player who started this fixture with Michael Golding and Kiano Dyer featuring off the bench.
