Zouma has been a mainstay in Lampard's back four this season, starting all but one of our 11 league matches and forming a strong centre-back partnership alongside Thiago Silva. With Edouard Mendy behind them, the duo have seen just three goals conceded in the past seven games, including clean sheets against Tottenham, Manchester United and Sevilla. Settled, secure and scoring goals, it's no wonder the boss is happy. 'He's playing really well this season,' Lampard said of his French defender. 'For me, that's just him going up more confident and with more belief in himself. His current run without finding the net has come off the back of Germany's 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Spain in the last international break, but Lampard does not believe that has had a lasting effect on his form. Instead the boss has reiterated just what an impression Werner has made since arriving. 'I have no worries about Timo,' said the boss. 'He has come into this league and made a big impact straightaway with his speed, direct nature, and things he is creating for the team. He is getting lots of chances, he makes lots of chances through his explosive nature and his eye to be in the right areas. 'Timo is going to be a huge player for this club. He has scored some goals already, of course he will want to be scoring more, he has missed a couple but if he keeps getting there he will score those goals. 'I don't think the Spain game has got anything to do with it,' added Lampard. 'I spoke to him after that game and it didn't feel like it was a negative thing that was going to carry over. He played at Newcastle in the next game and ripped them through on about five occasions. He was so dangerous even though he didn't get his goal.
