Newton was appointed permanent Trabzonspor manager last month after leading them to victory in the Turkish Cup and a second-place finish in the league as caretaker boss. It will be a fourth season abroad for Baker, who spent two years in the Netherlands with Vitesse Arnhem and made nine appearances for Fortuna Dusseldorf in the German top flight last term. The two-footed midfielder has been with Chelsea since Under-10s level and frequently captained our youth side, reaching the finals of the FA Youth Cup and the NextGen Series. He was named Player of the Tournament in the latter competition which was a forerunner to the UEFA Youth League. He has been named Chelsea Young Player of the Year and scored a goal against Manchester United which secured the Under-21 Premier League title in 2014.
