'It all stemmed from a conversation with JT and the manager. John likes to create a team atmosphere around the place, which is wonderful, and he suggested holding a barbeque. When you get very few cattle in a big space, they feed on long grass. This meat contains fats very beneficial to health, primarily Omega 3 fats, whereas when you have cattle in small spaces and only short grass, you don't get the same composition. 'Even worse, with the cattle we predominantly eat here, the cattle feed on grain, and you don't get the Omega 3s, instead you get pro-inflammatory Omega 6, which are less beneficial to health.' Nick's nutritional team work closely with the playing and kitchen staff on diet, and has developed phases of eating, which lead from finishing one game until the beginning of another. 'if it is a seven day cycle, the first three days might be more protein- dominant, shifting to more carbohydrate throughout the week,' Nick explained. 'High protein, good quality meat and proteins really fit into where we are in the week on Wednesday.'
