Reports also suggest that defender Andreas Granqvist, their recent loan signing from Sweden, will miss the game through illness. Ecuadorian midfielder Antonio Valencia has a hamstring problem. Midfielder Paul Scharner and striker Henri Camara are both recovering from knee surgery. Short of numbers, Wigan manager Paul Jewell has called right-back Ryan Taylor into his squad.
