Three boys remain from the thousands of 16-18 year-olds originally trialled nationwide, Essex's Mark Gradosielski, Sam Hurrell from Ickenham and Londoner Dee Okojie. The six weeks spent honing skills and building fitness in the Chelsea Academy has come to an end. All three have impressed Academy manager Neil Bath and his coaches but now they have left the Football Icon mansion in Cobham and after a couple of weeks back home in the real world, the boys are sent abroad to test their adaptability. First they travel to Holland to train with Vitesse Arnhem and then to Korea where they are attached for a week to the Suwon Bluewings. On their return awaits one final play-off game back at Chelsea, under the watchful eye of Jose Mourinho. It is the last chance to impress but for one of the hopefuls, an injury scare raises its ugly head. Whether he makes the game, the success of the venture abroad and who will win the prized professional contract at Chelsea for the rest of the 2005-6 season will all be revealed.
