Chelsea confirm Ferreira agreement

Paolo Ferreira should be the first signing of Jose Mourinho’s era.
Porto and Chelsea have agreed a fee for the Portugal right-back of 20
million euros – approximately ￡13.2m. Personal terms will now be discussed.
Ferreira, 25 years old, was in the team which won the European Champions
League, indeed he played every minute of Porto’s campaign.
Mourinho signed him for 2 million euros in 2002, and under six months
later he made his international debut against England. In his first full
season at Porto he won the League, Cup and UEFA Cup with the rest of the club.
He earned 27 Portuguese Under 21 caps and has 13 full caps, the last of
which was the opening game of Euro ’04.
