Reggie Miller, the 42-year-old former Pacer who has been approached by the
Celtics to return from his two-year retirement, is putting himself through a
tough workout routine to determine whether he can still withstand the NBA
grind.

是與神米接觸。於是他開始了艱辛的例行訓練，以測試自己是否還能承受NBA的強度。
Miller told ESPN’s Dan Patrick yesterday that he still hasn’t made up
his mind.
神米昨天跟ESPN的Dan Patrick說，他仍在猶豫。
“I have no idea what I’m going to do,” he said on Patrick’s ESPN
radio show. “I’m working out twice a day. It would be irresponsible of me
not to go full bore now to see what I can do. I’ll make a decision soon.
在Patrick的espn電台節目上，他說：「我現在還沒有打定主意，我每天訓練兩次。如果
我不竭盡全力去試試看我能做到什麼程度，那是對我自己不負責。我很快會做出決定。」
“Six or seven days ago I started two-a-days, and I probably have 10 days
left of that,” he said. “By the middle of September I should have an answer.
”
「大概6、7天前我開始這個訓練，我大概還要再十多天，九月中會有答案的。」
Miller said he was “shocked” when Danny Ainge initially called his
former agent, Arn Tellem, in an attempt to lure the shooting guard out of
retirement.
一開始Danny Ainge找上他的前經紀人，Arn Tellem，嘗試著引誘這個得分後衛復出，神
米說這著實嚇到他了。
“We had a conversation about his team and the roster,” said Miller. “
But it was to talk about supporting roles, because they had to mortgage the
farm to bring in who they have.
「我們有談過隊伍跟陣容的問題。」神米說。「不過我們談的是替補，因為他們已經藉由
交易找到他們要的得分後衛了。」
“It will be interesting,” he said. “To come back with a team like
Orlando, or a team that was middle of the road would be one thing. But this
team won the lottery when they got Kevin Garnett.
「這將很令人感興趣。在像Orlando，或者其他走中間路線的球隊中復出是一回事。但這
球隊從他們得到Kevin Garnett的那一瞬間，就等於中了頭彩。」
“They’ve given me as much time as I need to shock my body and see where
I am.”
「他們給我足夠的時間，讓我嘗試著衝擊自己的身體，看看我的程度還能到哪裡。」
