It was all positive stuff. It was good that they hear what we think is causing us to lose games. Doc Rivers had his notepad out. You can find a lot out if they’re honest,’’ he said. ‘‘This was good. Guys were very honest. . . . Well, we called them on it, so they had to be. A lot of them kept saying, ‘I keep forgetting the rotation,’ and one of the veterans said, ‘Well, how many more times do we have to go over it?’ That’s the way it went. Guys were saying how every game, there’s one or two or three things they forget, and I told them to add all that up and you’ve got 30 or 40 mistakes a game.’’ The matter, according to Gomes, is in the hands of those on the floor. We need to take it upon ourselves as players to improve as a team,’’ he said. ‘‘The coaches can only do so much. We’ve got to come in and get extra shots and run extra sprints.
