"By the way, Oden has a message for any Celtics fans who have already been
chanting his name at games in the hopes that Boston will lose as much as
possible and win the No. 1 pick in next June's NBA Draft. "In my ninth-grade
year I played against [Celtic] Al Jefferson, and he killed me," Oden says. "I
couldn't do anything with him. He was just a beast. I don't really think
about that anyway. When you're a true fan, you've got to live with the guys
you've got." (Uh, Greg, we hear you, but you're talking about something that
happened four years ago. We have a feeling you could hold your own against
Jefferson just fine right now.) "
