7:54pm: SI.com's Jon Heyman adds (via Twitter) that the deal is for $1.75MM,
plus performances bonuses.
7:43pm: The Cardinals have reached a one-year agreement with Lopez, pending a
physical, according to ESPN.com's Buster Olney.
6:07pm: Felipe Lopez is close to signing a one-year contract worth about $2MM
(plus incentives) with the St. Louis Cardinals, according to Joe Strauss of the
St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Strauss hears from a source that the two sides are
close enough to a deal that Lopez could take a physical this weekend.
