"Overall, I thought he did a good job." --2B Aaron Miles extended his hitting streak to a career-high-tying 14 games with a first-inning single and then made a diving grab to rob Carlos Delgado of a hit in the top of the ninth. --2B Adam Kennedy says he is ready to play after suffering a foot injury when he fouled a ball off it, but manager Tony La Russa said, "My understanding from the training room is that if every time he can get a day off it helps the healing. There's no reason to push it." --The Cardinals are only one steal behind the Mets (31-30) for lowest number of stolen bases given up in the majors. "We've given up more bags than we should, actually," said La Russa.
