Some people "know the cost of everything and the value of nothing." That wise adage may describe someone you have to deal with now, Moonchild. That would be someone who is so very materialistic that they can't seem to grasp the true value of something you see as important. You are not going to change that person. Nor should you be offended or hurt by something they have said or done. You are lucky because you do know the value of love, loyalty, friendship, and so on.
